When Making Trax, a sport tour company with a global footprint, decided to step into Scotland with a women’s only tournament across four historic courses, they needed a brand and digital platform that would convey their world-class experience and look good doing it.
Their elevated event, designed to bring people together for a 5-day play-and-stay at St. Andrews, was created for a discerning audience of amateur female golfers. So, naturally, their brand, website, and future assets needed to align with their sophisticated market. Undoubtedly looking for something luxurious, unique, and intriguing throughout their branding and tone of voice, we teed off by creating a moodboard that would serve as the foundation for everything we’d create together.
Taking inspiration from Celtic heritage, I created a brand with an abstract symbol that would weave the roots of the tournament together with its focus on female strength. The colour palette of navy, soft pink and light grey conveys a premium, sporty feel that’s carried across their social media assets, stationery, and information pack for a distinctive brand. Their website, cleanly designed to showcase the beauty of the course and the elite experience of the event, was built in a phased approach. We started with an elegant landing page that promoted the tournament through a landing page before launching the complete website.
The final identity and website, along with their promotional assets, work together to launch the MTX Golf brand as a prestigious, upmarket, and world-class experience — and the kind of hole-in-one event that only Scotland can offer.
