About The Bonnie Tiler
The Bonnie Tiler, in case you hadn’t guessed it, specialises in tilework including restoration, maintenance and stone masonry. As the only business in the region offering this combination of skilled services, Chris wanted to be recognised as the leading provider, and build an authentic brand based on his values of quality workmanship, honesty and reliability.
About the Project
Chris had a very clear idea of the retro colour palette he wanted, which gave us a great place to start. I wanted to create a logo to reflect the traditional tiling and stonework that Chris is so skilled in. Using fleur-de-lis style iconography with a stylish mix of bold and minimalist font, the logo came together beautifully. And to offer Chris additional variations, the brand mark design makes it possible to deconstruct its individual elements to create different patterns, giving even more scope for brand assets.
Wanting the sight of his van to raise immediate smiles and friendly comments of ‘there goes our Bonnie Tiler!’ from passers by, we devised a recognisable design to match the colour palette, brand and pattern. Chris was so dedicated to the implementation of the branding that he had his van painted in the exact colours and the effect is fantastic, tying in with all his other new marketing assets.
With the opportunity to feature the business in his local magazine, we created an advert to spec, which was also printed onto flyers using gorgeous, high quality stock to echo the premium nature of Chris’s workmanship.
The Bonnie Tiler business card was purposely designed to feature a helpful list of Chris’s services, as well as his contact details. We used a matte, soft touch, laminate card with a spot gloss over the top of the fleur-de-lis to emphasise the focus on higher end clients and heritage properties.
I’m thrilled to say that just with his van alone and his leaflet door drop, Chris has been kept fully booked for 3 - 4 months in advance. This speaks volumes for the brand created, and the business is going from strength to strength.
